Great Makeup Tricks for Flawless Skin

Do you feel like you can’t hide all the imperfections on your face? Have you ever tried to cover your dark circles, blemishes, redness and acne with so much makeup your face feels like it’s going to crack?

Foundation is the best way to make your skin look flawless. Yellow-toned foundations look the most natural on all skin tones. If you can’t find the right foundation tone, we advise to swatch a few shades on the side of your face and check them on natural light. The one that disappears is the one that suits you the best. You can also think about buying two shades of foundations – one for the summer and one for winter. Follow these steps to conceal dark circles, pimples, wrinkles and more, and look your best.

Apply Primer

After moisturizing, apply primer with silica. Creamy foundations won’t settle into wrinkles and fine lines – so the more you add, the more you will highlight them. So, we recommend you to use it sparingly.

Pick Foundation – Find Your Shade

Avoid applying matte or luminous foundations, because they can make your skin appear either too moist or too flat to be natural. Liquid foundation with silicone can be perfect for you. You can also search for “invisible”, “sheer” or “lightweight” foundations.

The statistics say that only 15% of women choose the right shade. From loose powders to tinted moisturizers, there are different techniques and countless finishes and formulas to applying them. And as I said before, to find the foundation that’s just right, you need to test the shade of the foundation on your face or neck. To find your perfect match you can also answer these questions:

How would you describe your skin?

  • oily
  • normal
  • sensitive

What is the look you crave for?

  • natural
  • dewy
  • matte

What are you trying to hide?

  • Nothing
  • Redness
  • Brown spots
  • Fine lines
  • Large pores
  • Acne

Girls with oily skin should avoid applying a foundation that contains oil, but an oil-free liquid with lightweight silicone. Those with sensitive skin should opt for mineral makeup, while those who are blessed with low-maintenance skin can wear any foundation.

However being able to try free samples before you buy is a huge bonus. If you are not sure which one is the best for you ask for help.

Apply Sparingly

Apply dots of foundations on your forehead, on your chin and one each on the tip and along the sides of the nose. Spread the color over your forehead, down your nose, over your chin and across your cheeks using two fingers.

Diffuse with a Sponge

Tap a damp makeup sponge over wrinkles, around the nose and anywhere your base is noticeable to remove excess that could emphasize lines.

Hide Imperfections

You can hide the undereye dark circles with a creamy foundation. Using yellow-based foundation, you can get rid of the redness. If there are dark spots and blemishes that are still visible, dab a solid concealer over them using a fine-tipped brush?
